A Second Chance at High School
We met with theExecutive Director of the Clear Passage Educational Center in Cambodia Town District, City of Long Beach. The school is a second chance high school, serving grades 9-12. It offers a personalized, flexible, blended independent study learning model that focuses on each student’s unique strengths and needs while providing a high structure/engaging learning environment.

11th Anniversary Celebration of Cambodia Town
We celebrated the 11th Anniversary of the Official Designation of Cambodia Town Business and Cultural District. Cambodia Town, Inc. also surprised Councilman Dee Andrews for his birthday at La Lune Thmey Restaurant. Mayor’s Go Long Beach Tour
A roundtable discussion was hosted by Mayor Robert Garcia at Dara Restaurant in MidTown BID, Cambodia Town District of Long Beach. It was part of the Mayor’s Go Long Beach Tour to inform the community about his works and future plans within the business corridor along Anaheim Street. Mayor Robert Garcia invited those in attendance to express concerns.

4th Annual Asian Pacific Islander and Heritage Month
The 4th Annual Asian And Heritage Month were celebrated in the City of Garden Grove. It was so nice to see Southern California Edison recognizing the contributions made by API Community. Representatives of Cambodia Town, Cambodia Women Business Federation, Cambodian-American Chamber of Commerce, Pacific Asian Counseling Services, Wahoo Taco and Vietnamese Community with President of SCE and Councilwoman of Garden Grove.

City Council Asian & Pacific Islander – American Heritage Month
Cambodia Town along with other representatives from Cambodian Organizations and Pacific Asian Counseling Services attended the 4th Annual Celebration of Asian & Pacific Islander – American Heritage Month Co-hosted by Councilwoman Lena Gonzalez and Councilman Al Austin at the City Hall of Long Beach.

Cambodian Genocide Remembrance Day
Boards, family, and friends are attending Cambodian Genocide Remembrance Day in Cambodia Town District – in the City Long Beach. The event is organized by Senator Ricardo Lara in partnership with Congressman Alan Lowenthal, Assemblymember Patrick O’Donnell, LA County Supervisor Janice Hahn, Mayor Robert Garcia, Vice Mayor Rex Richardson, Councilmembers Lena Gonzalez, Jeannine Pearce, Daryl Supernaw, Dee Andrews, Roberto Uranga, Al Austin and Port of Long Beach.

The opening ceremony “boungsoung” officially starts the 10th Annual Cambodia Town Culture Festival in Cambodia Town Dist. – the City of Long Beach. The Star-Spangled Banner by Soup Pha at the Cambodia Town Culture Festival on April 8th, 2018. Soup Pha will be performing this Saturday, April 21st, 2018 at the Khmer New Year at El Dorado Park, Area III in Long Beach, CA. City Council Appreciation Speech
Members of Cambodia Town Inc. and Cambodia Women Business Federation attended the Long Beach City Council Meeting to thank Councilman Daryl Supernaw and Councilman Dee Andrews for being our Co-hosted for the 10th Annual Cambodia Town Culture Festival to be held on Sunday, April 8th. We are also taking the opportunity to invite all elected officials, City Staffs and audiences to the festival on Sunday.
